Dreaming TreeNaoko Sakata Trio
Naoko Sakata Trio is definitely one of the most interesting improv groups in Sweden right now. The trio has previously released two albums (with former bassist Anton Blomgren) and both of these have been praised by reviewers internationally and in Sweden. Dreaming tree is the group’s third album and their first on a Swedish label, something we are very proud of at Footprint.
As before, Naoko Sakata Trio plays lyrical improvisationmusic with great attitude and maturity on their new album Dreaming tree. The CD contains only original compositions with contributions from all three group members. The mood varies between beautiful, wild and contemplative. A sonorous production recorded by John Lundberg, EST’s golden-eared Åke Linton at the mixing table, and with mastering by Per Sjösten.
