Lisa Rydberg
Lisa Rydberg is a baroque violinist who has earned the title of Riksspelman, which roughly corresponds to “master folk musician”. The first person to have graduated from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm with the combination of classical and folk music, Rydberg tours regularly throughout Sweden and the rest of Europe and can be heard in constellations such as the duo LISAS, Bach på Svenska, and the folk music group Jul i folkton, as well as performances with Sofia Karlsson and Lena Willemark. With six CD releases to her name, Rydberg composes music for others as well as for herself, and her string arrangements are featured on a number of pop albums. She played on albums by artists such as Nicolai Dunger, Sofie Livebrant, Ane Brun, and Ulf Lundell. In 1999, she was appointed Riksspelman and she has also received the Pekkos Gustaf medal and a diploma for baroque violin.
