Jesper Eriksson

Jesper Eriksson has studied classical saxophone at Stockholm’s Royal College of Music under Christer Johnsson. He has also studied under others, such as Jörgen Pettersson, Johannes Thorell, Claus Olesen, Vincent David and Arno Bornkamp. Eriksson’s interest in free improvisation began at music college and he went more in-depth deeper for his Masters. Alongside his music studies, Eriksson studied improvisational theatre and today, he works as both a musician and as an actor at improv theatre performances. He also plays the saxophone with Sweden’s Armed Forces Music Corps. Fuelled by his curiosity for stage expression, Eriksson explores various combinations of music, theatre and dance, and how to use improvisation to achieve honest and sensitive portrayals.
